I'm a Hoarder

I'm such a hoarder especially when I see something really cheap (I'm referring to the price) that works.  Want proof?

Exhibit 1: Random Make-up Brushes

Seeing that these only cost Php29.75 at Ever Gotesco I tried this out.  I bought an eye make-up brush and an angled make-up brush.
I don't care much for the angled one but the eye make-up brush is pretty decent.  It's works well as a blending brush and can double as a concealer brush.  The size is quite ideal for traveling, plus it wouldn't be such major heartache if I lose or misplace one of these.
Needless to say, I was pretty happy with my purchase so I bought two more.

Exhibit 2: Myra Vitaglow Tinted Moisturizer

See posts here and here.

Exhibit 3: Nivea Sun Refreshing Fluid SPF 30

See post here.

Exhibit 3: Gel Shoe Cushions

See post here.  Just an update, I bought another pair of the heel cap and the heel liners.

Exhibit 4:  Random Eyeliners

I like playing and experimenting with these Php10 eyeliners.  But that's all their good for, these are quite dry, pretty challenging to apply and the staying power is really crappy.  I guess I got what I paid for.

These just show that I'm both a cheapo and a hoarder.

Finally Shoe Cushions

I love how wearing heels makes me taller and my legs look longer.  But they're not the most comfortable things in the world, it's always a case of tiis ganda.  I know, so vain but true.

Looky, looky what I found!

According to stylists' these are a stiletto lover's best friends.  I've been searching high and low for these shoe cushions (I actually have no idea what these are called) but the ones I saw are a teeny bit expensivo.  Imagine my reaction, almost a scream actually, when I found these babies at Japan Home Store for 88 pesos each.

Gel Fore Foot Cushion

Helps cushion and protect the toe area from rubbing against the insoles which causes blisters, prevents toe and foot slippage and reduces shock to the feet. It also provides a better fit for loose fitting shoes.
Looks similar to the cork that used to be given for free at department stores but more sanitary because these are washable.

Adhesive

 See, hardly noticeable at all.

Gel Heel Cup
Helps prevent calluses and absorbs shock in the heel area.
On open shoes...pwede

Heel Shields
Prevents blisters and shoes from digging in the sensitive heel area.

Tada...
My shoes feels a little tighter, especially at the toe area because these shoes fit me to T, but the balls and heel (I know, this is the most abused word in this post) of my feet didn't hurt as much.  As for comfort, 4 inches is still 4 inches, right?

Note to self:  Must go back to Japan Home Store to buy a back up of the fore foot cushion and hoard on the heel cushion and shields.

Cheap Thrills

I'm an equal opportunity tiangge shopper,  I like looking around and haggling from the poshy to one that sells everything for ten pesos.  Often, I would take home something, a dress, a trinklet or a clip, a pen anything really.  With all the tiangges sprouting here and there, the possibilities are endless.

Here's some of my cheap thrill hauls.
Fifty peso plastic shades at the sidewalk stalls around Ever Gotesco, Commonwealth (these cost more than double inside the mall)
Ten peso hair clips.  The white ones are ten pesos for two pairs but I already lost the other one.
Ten peso eyeliner pencils.
I love nail polish so at 10 pesos a pop these ain't so bad and the staying power is pretty decent considering the price.  There's just this slightly more chemical scent to it. Oh and try to check the brushes, I got one that won't spread evenly.

Remember the quality of the products in these small tiangges are not really guaranteed so I guess the best tip  is to haggle and to check...check...check.
